Do you give free quotes?

Do you offer a guarantee?
Every new roof we fit comes with a guarantee, and the details are set out with your quote. Repairs carry a guarantee where we agree one on the quote.
Do you do emergency roof repairs?
Yes. We run a 24-hour emergency call-out for leaks and storm damage. The first job is always to make the roof safe and stop more water getting in.
Which areas do you cover?
We cover the North West, with most of our work in Wigan, Leigh and Manchester, and across Bolton, Salford, Trafford, Liverpool, St Helens, Warrington, Oldham and Lancashire. We will also travel further for booked jobs. See our areas page for the full list.
What roofing work do you do?
New roofs and re-roofing, roof repairs and leaks, flat roofing, chimney repairs and rebuilds, and fascias, soffits and guttering, including dry verge and gutter clearing.
Do you work for landlords and letting agents?
Yes. We work for homeowners, landlords and letting agencies.
How do I know if my roof needs repairing or replacing?
If the trouble is in one place, such as a few slipped tiles, a leaking valley or a loose ridge, a repair is usually enough. If the felt underneath has failed or the tiles are porous across the whole roof, repairs stop holding and a new roof is better value. We will tell you honestly which one you need.
Do I need planning permission for a new roof?
Replacing a roof like for like normally does not need planning permission. Listed buildings and some conservation areas are different, so check with your council if your home is in one. A re-roof does have to meet Building Regulations.
Why is my ceiling damp when I cannot see any missing tiles?
Water often gets in through a cracked tile, a worn valley, failed flashing around a chimney or a ridge that has lost its mortar, then runs along the felt or timbers before it shows. That is why we trace a leak back to its source rather than just repairing above the damp patch.
Can you match my existing tiles or slates?
In most cases yes. Where a tile is no longer made we use the closest match, or reuse sound tiles from a less visible part of the roof.
Do you fix flat roofs on extensions and garages?
Yes. We repair and replace flat roofs on extensions, garages, dormers, porches and bay windows, and can fit rooflights at the same time.
Do you replace fascias, soffits and gutters?
Yes. We take off rotten timber boards, check the rafter ends behind them, and fit new uPVC fascias, soffits and guttering.
